Amanda Sefton is a normal human being on X-Men Evolution. The thing that sets Amanda apart from the rest of the normal people is that she accepts mutants. Especially one named Kurt Wagner a.k.a. Nightcrawler.
Amanda has had a crush on Kurt for a very long time, and discovered he was a mutant even before they were exposed to the media. Knowing Kurt's secret made Amanda like him even more because she was able to see the real Kurt Wagner. In Shadowdance she finally got the courage to ask Kurt to a dance. She explained to him how she knew of his secret and Kurt, always trying to protect his identity, tried to cover it. When strange creatures attacked the school Kurt was forced to use his teleportation and expose his mutant self to Amanda. Disregarding the fact that Kurt may appear a little different, she over sees that and has remained his girlfriend since.
Amanda is very kind and caring. She is a bit shy, but is the one person who will overlook appearances and judge based on personality. She is not a mutant in X-Men Evolution.
Interesting facts: The Evolution version of Amanda is not a mutant, but a human. For those who are long time comic fans, they will know that Amanda in the original comics was a mutant sorceress named Daytripper.
