Rogue grew up in the swamps of the Mississippi. That's were she gets her southern accent. Unlike the voluptuous bombshell Rogue was in the comics, the 15-year-old is insecure and uncertain about her newly found power. She was living with Irene Adler/Destiny until her mutant powers manifested. She was at a school dance when a boy named Cody asked her to dance with her. They danced for awhile until Cody accidentally knocked her down. When he helped her up he touched her skin and soon his memories began to flood her mind. Afraid, Rogue left. She caught up with the X-Men, and Mystique who was disguised as the X-Men. Rogue was scared and confused as she kept absorbing the X-Men's memories. Scared the X-Men were trying to kill her she went with the Brotherhood of Mutants. Then on a Geology Field Trip with Scott, Rogue absorbed the powers of Mystique and found out that the X-Men were her friends and that Mystique was not. So in the end Rogue joined the X-Men.
Rogue's mutant powers keep her from touching people with her skin. Unless she rob them of their memories. If she touches a mutant with her skin, not only will she absorb their memories, she can temporarily steal their power and use it at her own free will. Since Rogue cannot touch another person with her skin, she has to wear clothing on almost every part of her body, even gloves.
Rogue is just your normal teenager, except with a gothic twist. She can be more at home with the Brotherhood but, she still hates the Brotherhood. Rogue especially hates rooming with Kitty. She finds her annoying and selfish. Yet seems to be the closest with her since they're seen hanging out with each other many times. Rogue also hates Jean. Jean is everything Rogue isn't, kind, generous, and she can touch people without actually knocking them out. So the more nice Jean is to Rogue, the more Rogue hates her for it. Rogue does respect her non the less, and even risked her life to help Jean control her powers. Rogue also has a friendship with Kurt, since he too doesn't know a lot about his past, and both share a relationship with Mystique.(Rogue being the adopted daughter, and Kurt being the son of Mystique) However, none-the-less, Rogue still helps fight along side with the X-men.

Interesting Facts: In the comics Rogue also has the ability to fly and super strength. In the Evolution series Rogue only has her original powers of absorption.
