Kitty Pryde lived in Northbrook, Illinois, a place just outside of Chicago, with her parents. It was one night that Kitty was dreaming when she woke up to find herself in the basement. Horrified her parents came to comfort her. However something was strange when they found that the sheets and pillows were half way through the ceiling. The next day Professor Xavier and Jean went to Kitty's house to talk with her parents. At first they turned the Professor down. Jean helped bond with Kitty at school before Lance Alvers did. Leading Kitty's parents to trust Xavier and Kitty joining the team.
Kitty is a teen in the series which means she is one of the stars. We will be able to see lots of Kitty help fight with the X-Men. Kitty needs no convincing to go into battle and will fight for good.
Kitty's relationship with Kurt is that of a good friend . Although she can sometimes find Kurt Wagner utterly annoying, she still cares for him(Rogue Recruit). As of now Kurt and Kitty only share a possible brother/sister relationship. Maybe as the series continues they will become even better friends. But we can still say that Kurt and Kitty make a cute couple. Kitty also hates Rogue as a roommate, but they always seem to get pared up together on missions, and do things together which hints that maybe they are friends, but they get annoyed at each other sometimes.
Kitty's powers are that she is able to phase through walls. She does it by canceling out the space between atoms. She doesn't turn a ghostly pail or transparent, instead she just goes through it. Over time Kitty will be able to walk on air and is able to phase other people along with her, just as long as they don't let go. Kitty can also phase through a machine and stop its internal mechanism. In turn the machine will cease to function and stop. The only real limit to Kitty's powers is that she cannot breath while she phases, so this means she cannot continuously phase all the time.
